Malibal 20″ Behemoth Laptop

Laptop company MALIBAL has introduced its Veda series of laptops, featuring a massive 20.1″ LCD boasting the comparatively low resolution of 1680×1050 which will be suitable for gaming but not so hot for graphics pros.

You’d think for a screen this size you’d be getting 1920×1200, but 16×10’s not all that bad I guess (as I sit here typing this on a 20″ LCD at 1680×1050 :P).

The “other” specs of the laptop are pretty remarkable too- beefy Nvidia GeForce Go 7950 GTX SLI graphics cards, a dual core AMD Turion 64 X2 CPU, and a 160GB hard drive and TV tuner. All that tech makes this beast weigh in at a tubby 15.2 pounds. Try carting that around- this solution may be more geared towards desktop replacement than mobile computing.

Starting at $2799, this behemoth isn’t cheap and at this price you’d think they’d make it look a little nicer. And what’s up with that massive “MALIBAL” logo? No need to yell, mmmkay?
